House Haunting

So my husband and I have been in the process of house hunting and although we are in the beginning process, I see it being a long haul ahead.

I however have been trying to keep my cool, when it comes to finding the "one" house to rule them all.

The market here is very fast paced and houses get listed and bam gone in some cases 24 hours.

It like chasing an invisible being.

I know that we will eventually get there.

.But there was this one house it might be a ghost house.

 It might haunt me.

ah the ghost house, like a real life Beetle juice.

haaahaaa I wish!

Fall into winter

Im a fall girl naturally, so what I'm I going to wear in the winter?

Reminisce of fall that's what.

This fall dress looks like a water color stain, so I died twice over and had to have it.

I mean my favorite season and its artsy fartsy. Win! Win! is what I say

The weather here in Colorado Fluctuates and it pretty mild to the winters I grew up with in good ol' Buffalo.

Funny thing is two days after I took this pic it became 68 degrees out and today is like 55, all this glorious snow is gone and damn my dress are predicting the weather.

I wonder if I need a career change with my dress future weather readings.

ok I know I'm being a big nerd right now.

Look at this beautiful print up close. This dress is a Modcloth exclusive dress and I simply adore it.

I also adore snow covered boots.

                                                        and details that are adorable.

Harder, Better, Faster , Stronger......

I have been trying to kick this cold for weeks! so I decided to do a blog post inside to work on getting better.

Not only was I sick but my husband was sick too.

My dog well he was doing his normal thing of sleeping and cuddling all day long. so no switch there.

So today post is about the topsy turvy world of being on that boarder line of feeling better and not being 100%.

Just like my chevron patterns I can fell my body reeving up to get going.

I got this dress for a super sweet deal at Ross for $7.99 and I like this pattern so I thought why not. It makes for a great teaching outfit and I wouldn't be upset if paint or any other art materials got on it.

I paired it up with my Mia wedges for some fair.

.....and here I am hoped up on Dayquil. Haha. At least I'm functioning now.

Winter Wonderland

Well its literally just snowed as I'm uploading and writing this post so my dress is totally appropriate.

This is another Emily and Fin dress, because as I have said before they are killing it with the prints lately.

I was feeling a little in the cold season.

Sometimes cold can be underrated. My favorite color is blue and it is the representation of cold. for anyone who has seen the movie Mask with Cher and Eric Stoltz the you know exactly what I mean with the scene in the kitchen with Laura Dern.

Since the holidays are here and around the corner I thought this could be great for more than one event.

I will be most likely wear this for X-mas with my family.

Close up of shoes!!!!

.....and how cool is this printed fabric?

Artsy Farsty

Yep I'm getting my art on.

This dress is the an art teachers ultimate dream. luckily this art teacher snagged this one!

My Career has been a whole bunch of ups and downs being hired, laid off,  long term subbing, re-hired, part time, moving to two states in one year transferring credits and teaching again, can you keep up with all that? There is one thing that is constant, I get to inspire others through art, fashion and music.

Right now I teach middle school art and it is a doozy onto itself dealing with constant middle school mood swings and personality's.

But one thing makes it worth it.

I had a students that was pretty unruly and something in him clicked one day, I watched him work on his tessellations art work, and he became less the class clown and more the focused art student. I told him if he finished his work and continued to do what he was doing on this work there was no way he wasn't going to get an A on that assignment. Well he did. He turned it in. I looked him in the eye and said to him I was so proud of him and I knew he could accomplish greatness on his work. He said he was proud of himself too. He sat down and later towards the end of class he came back to me and said " My mom is going to be so proud of my work, are you going to put it up in the hall way?" I replied , "Of Course, I'm showing that art work off. " He said one more time how proud he was of it and I said," me too".  This is why I do what I do. I Inspire kids to find greatness in themselves and help them reach goals through art.

So this outfit is a little cue to my life's work. It was fated that I would own it and wear it when I was working with my students.

(close up) I mean come on there are palettes on it.

oh and these flats are comfortable when running from student to student to help them on their art.
